Latest Statistics released by Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), Sri Lanka's tourist arrivals rose 8.5 percent in April compared to the same period in 2014 with the arrival of 122,217 tourists compared to the 112,631 arrived in April 2014.
Most of the tourist arrivals were from East Asia. For the month of April 24,292 tourists arrived in the island, 31.9% more than in April 2014.
Tourist arrivals from Australasia declined in April by 9.3 percent.
