June 19, 2015 (LBO) – The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka granted approval for an investment of 3 million US dollars of Alpha Kinam Holdings Lanka, a Maldivian company to set up a hotel in Matale, Sri Lanka.
The Nichila Oya Resort and Spa hotel which expected to complete within two years’ time period, will have 13 Eco type luxury Suites and 26 chalets, a statement said.
The hotel will be built on a 15.3 acres land in Matale and surrounding the project will be developed into a birds’ sanctuary.
Upul Jayasuriya Chairman Board of Investment signed the agreement on behalf of the BOI and Ms Muslima Abdul Gayoom Director Alpha Kinam Holdings Lanka (Pvt) Ltd signed the agreement on behalf of the company.
